Deadly Games (1982 film)

Deadly Games is a 1982 American slasher film directed by Scott Mansfied, and starring Sam Groom, Jo Ann Harris, Steve Railsback, and Galen Brandt. The film centers around a group of teenagers who are stalked and murdered by a masked killer while playing a role-playing game called "Assassin."

The plot involves a group of high school students who participate in an organized game of "Assassin," where participants must eliminate each other using toy weapons. As the game progresses, the participants begin to be murdered in a manner that mimics the rules of the game, leading them to believe that the killer is someone involved in the game, or someone using the game as a cover for their crimes. Tension escalates as the surviving players try to uncover the killer's identity before they become the next victim.

Deadly Games is considered a minor entry in the slasher film subgenre, and although not widely known, it contains common tropes such as a masked killer, graphic violence, and a whodunit mystery element. It is sometimes confused with the 1989 film 3615 code Père Noël, also known as Deadly Games.
