David Frank (musician)
David Frank is an American keyboardist, songwriter, and record producer, best known as a founding member of the 1980s funk band The System.
Born and raised in New York City, Frank began his musical career playing in local bands and clubs. He formed The System in 1982 with Mic Murphy. The duo achieved commercial success with hits like "Don't Disturb This Groove" and "Pleasure Seekers." Their music blended funk, synth-pop, and R&B, contributing to the evolving sound of 1980s dance music.
Beyond his work with The System, David Frank has also worked as a producer and songwriter for other artists, including Christina Aguilera, Madonna, Phil Collins, and Chaka Khan.
