Chris Reed (figure skater)
Chris Reed (1989-2020) was a Japanese-American ice dancer. He represented Japan in international competition alongside his sister Cathy Reed and later Kana Muramoto. He was a three-time Olympian, competing at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, the 2014 Sochi Olympics, and the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics.
Career: Reed began skating with his older sister Cathy in 2006. They quickly established themselves as a leading ice dance team for Japan, winning multiple national titles and competing regularly on the ISU Grand Prix circuit. After Cathy's retirement from competitive skating in 2015, Chris teamed up with Kana Muramoto. Together, they also achieved success, winning several medals and representing Japan at the 2018 Winter Olympics. He retired from competitive skating in 2019.
