Chidi Odiah

Chidi Odiah (born December 17, 1983) is a retired Nigerian professional footballer who primarily played as a right-back.

Odiah began his career in Nigeria with Eagle Cement and Sharks FC before moving to Europe. He played for Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldova for several seasons, winning multiple league titles and Moldovan Cups. His performances at Sheriff attracted attention from larger European clubs.

In 2004, Odiah joined Russian club CSKA Moscow, where he enjoyed a successful period. During his time with CSKA, he won the UEFA Cup in 2005, along with several Russian Premier League titles and Russian Cups. He was known for his pace, stamina, and ability to contribute both defensively and offensively.

Odiah was also a regular for the Nigerian national team, making his debut in 2004. He represented Nigeria at the 2002 and 2010 FIFA World Cups, as well as multiple Africa Cup of Nations tournaments. He was a key member of the Super Eagles squad for several years.

After leaving CSKA Moscow, Odiah's career continued with brief spells at other clubs before his eventual retirement from professional football.
