Callús

Callús is a municipality in the comarca of Bages, in the province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Located on the left bank of the Cardener river, it is situated to the north of Manresa. The municipality is primarily agricultural, though there is also some light industry.

The village of Callús itself is the main population center. The surrounding area includes scattered farmhouses and a few smaller settlements.

Historically, the area has been inhabited since Roman times, though the documented history of Callús begins in the medieval period. The economy has traditionally revolved around agriculture, with vineyards and cereal crops being important.

Notable landmarks include the parish church and the remnants of a medieval castle. Callús hosts local festivals and traditions throughout the year.
