Borba Gato (São Paulo Metro)
Borba Gato is a station on Line 2 (Green) of the São Paulo Metro in São Paulo, Brazil. It is located in the Santo Amaro district of the city. The station's name is derived from the nearby Monumento às Bandeiras, which prominently features a statue of Manuel de Borba Gato, a 17th-century bandeirante (explorer and pioneer).
The station opened on January 25, 2010, as part of the extension of Line 2 from Alto do Ipiranga to Vila Prudente. It is an underground station with side platforms. Borba Gato station provides access to local bus lines and commercial areas in the surrounding neighborhood.
