Beerus

Beerus (ビルス, Birusu) is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball franchise, created by Akira Toriyama. He is introduced as the God of Destruction of Universe 7, tasked with maintaining balance in the universe by destroying planets or civilizations deemed a threat to its natural order.

Beerus is depicted as a purple, feline-like humanoid with large pointed ears, similar in appearance to a Sphynx cat. He is generally nonchalant and easily irritable, often destroying entire planets over trivial matters, such as poorly prepared food. Despite his destructive tendencies, Beerus isn't inherently evil; he operates according to the universal laws of destruction and creation. Destruction is necessary to allow for new creation and growth.

His power is immense, far surpassing that of most other characters in the Dragon Ball universe. He is able to destroy entire planets with a single blast and possesses incredible speed and reflexes. His signature technique is the "Sphere of Destruction," a condensed ball of energy capable of obliterating anything it touches.

Beerus' arrival on Earth marks a significant turning point in the Dragon Ball Super series, forcing Goku and Vegeta to train under Whis, Beerus' attendant and martial arts instructor, to achieve new levels of power. He frequently visits Earth to sample its cuisine and monitor the progress of Goku and Vegeta, whom he considers potential rivals and sources of entertainment. While he can be easily angered, he often displays moments of amusement and even camaraderie with the Z Fighters.
