Barry Young (cricketer)
Barry Young is a former New Zealand cricketer who played first-class cricket for Central Districts and Otago between 1963 and 1975. A right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler, Young was a consistent performer in domestic cricket but never represented New Zealand at the international level.
Young played 57 first-class matches, scoring 2,626 runs at an average of 26.89 with a highest score of 130. He also took 16 wickets at an average of 45.50. His most productive season was 1970-71, when he scored 482 runs for Central Districts.
Following his playing career, Young remained involved in cricket administration within New Zealand.
