Bödefeld

Bödefeld is a village in the Hochsauerland district of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is part of the Schmallenberg municipality.

Historically, Bödefeld was an independent municipality. As part of municipal reorganization efforts in North Rhine-Westphalia, it was integrated into the town of Schmallenberg on January 1, 1975.

Bödefeld is located in a mountainous region known for its skiing and hiking opportunities. The area's economy is based primarily on tourism, agriculture, and small businesses. The Hunau, a local mountain, is a popular destination for winter sports.

The village retains a rural character with traditional architecture. Local customs and traditions are still practiced, often centered around the Catholic Church.
