Ana Ortiz

Ana Ortiz (born January 25, 1971) is an American actress and singer. She is primarily known for her roles in television, particularly for her portrayal of Hilda Suarez in the ABC comedy-drama series Ugly Betty (2006-2010), for which she received a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Ortiz began her acting career in theater, studying at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. She transitioned to television with guest appearances in various series, before landing more substantial roles.

Beyond Ugly Betty, Ortiz has appeared in other television shows, including Devious Maids, Marry Me, and Whiskey Cavalier. She has also worked in film, with roles in movies such as Labor Pains and Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son.
