Allan Stewart (ice hockey)
Allan Stewart (born January 14, 1964) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. A defenceman, Stewart played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for parts of three seasons with the New Jersey Devils, Winnipeg Jets, and Minnesota North Stars.
Stewart was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the second round, 28th overall, of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut with the Devils in the 1984-85 season, appearing in 10 games. He spent the majority of his time during that and the following season with the Maine Mariners of the American Hockey League (AHL).
In 1986, Stewart was traded to the Winnipeg Jets. He played 22 games for the Jets during the 1986-87 season. He was then traded to the Minnesota North Stars, where he played one game. After his brief NHL career, Stewart continued to play professionally in the AHL and International Hockey League (IHL) before retiring.
