2011 US Open (tennis)
The 2011 US Open was a Grand Slam tennis tournament played at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York City, from August 29 to September 12, 2011. It was the 131st edition of the US Open and the fourth and final Grand Slam tournament of the year.
The tournament consisted of men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, mixed doubles, boys' and girls' singles, boys' and girls' doubles, and wheelchair tennis events. The main draw singles events featured 128 players.
Novak Djokovic won the men's singles title, defeating Rafael Nadal in the final. Samantha Stosur won the women's singles title, defeating Serena Williams in the final.
Other notable results included Jürgen Melzer and Philipp Petzschner winning the men's doubles title, and Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond winning the women's doubles title. Melanie Oudin and Jack Sock won the mixed doubles title.
