Yuri Kim (ambassador)

Yuri Kim is a career diplomat with the U.S. Department of State. She served as the United States Ambassador to Albania from January 2020 to July 2023.

Kim previously served as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs. Before that, she was the Director of the State Department's Center for the Study of the Foreign Affairs Profession.

Her diplomatic career also includes postings in Turkey, Iraq, South Korea, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Throughout her career, she has focused on issues relating to security, diplomacy, and international relations.
