William McIntyre (Australian politician)

William McIntyre (born 1872, died 1948) was an Australian politician. He served as a member of the Australian Senate representing Tasmania from 1935 to 1947.

McIntyre was born in Launceston, Tasmania. Prior to entering politics, he was a farmer and grazier.

In the Senate, he represented the United Australia Party (UAP) and later the Liberal Party of Australia following the UAP's dissolution in 1945. He was known for his strong advocacy for agricultural interests and Tasmanian issues. McIntyre was a relatively quiet but diligent senator, consistently attending parliamentary sessions and participating in debates related to primary industry and national development. He was not a minister or shadow minister during his time in parliament.

McIntyre retired from the Senate in 1947 and died the following year.
