Walter Lees (cricketer)

Walter Lees (born 1875, date of death unknown) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Derbyshire between 1902 and 1911.

Lees was born in Blackwell, Derbyshire. He made his debut for Derbyshire in the 1902 season in a match against London County, scoring a duck in his first innings. He played five matches in the season. In the 1903 season, he played thirteen matches and made his top score of 72 against Warwickshire. He played twelve matches in the 1904 season and played less regularly from then on. His final first-class match was in the 1911 season against Yorkshire.

Lees was a right-handed batsman and played 71 innings in 40 first-class matches, with a top score of 72 and an average of 11.71. He was a right-arm medium-pace bowler and took 5 wickets at an average of 35.80 and a best performance of 2 for 33.
