Tim O'Brien (footballer)

Tim O'Brien is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by Hawthorn with pick #28 in the 2012 AFL Draft. A tall and athletic player, O'Brien primarily played as a key defender but was also capable of playing in the ruck.

O'Brien made his AFL debut in Round 12 of the 2014 season against the Sydney Swans. He was known for his strong marking ability and competitive nature. He played intermittently throughout his career, struggling to cement a consistent spot in the Hawthorn side.

In October 2021, O'Brien was delisted by Hawthorn.
