Seal River (Cook Inlet)
The Seal River is a short, glacially-fed river located in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough of Alaska. It empties into Cook Inlet on the west side of the inlet, roughly south of the Beluga River. The Seal River is known for its strong tidal influence and the presence of, as its name suggests, seals. The river and its surrounding wetlands provide important habitat for migratory birds, salmon, and other wildlife. The area is largely undeveloped and accessed primarily by boat or small aircraft.
