Seán Dunne (politician)
Seán Dunne (born 23 March 1956, died 12 February 2005) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician. He served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Wexford constituency from 1989 until his death in 2005.
Dunne was first elected to Dáil Éireann at the 1989 general election. He was re-elected in 1992, 1997, and 2002. During his time in the Dáil, he served on several committees, including the Public Accounts Committee. He was known for his strong advocacy for the people of County Wexford.
He died suddenly in February 2005, while still serving as a TD. A by-election was held to fill the vacancy, which was won by Liam Twomey of Fine Gael.
