Samaris (band)
Samaris is an Icelandic electronic music band formed in Reykjavík in July 2011. The band is known for its unique blend of clarinet, electronics, and Jófríður Ákadóttir's ethereal vocals, often incorporating elements of poetry and Norse mythology into their music.
The band consists of Áslaug Rún Magnúsdóttir (clarinet), Þórður Kári Steinþórsson (electronics), and Jófríður Ákadóttir (vocals).
Samaris gained attention for their early EPs, which showcased their distinctive sound and quickly established them as a prominent act within the Icelandic music scene. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2013, further solidified their reputation and garnered international recognition.
