Salvo (band)

Salvo was a British indie rock band formed in London in 2008. The band consisted of Liam Brown (vocals, guitar), David Lake (guitar), Sam Turnell (bass), and Ben Smith (drums). They were known for their energetic live performances and melodic, guitar-driven sound, often drawing comparisons to bands like The Futureheads and Bloc Party.

Salvo released several singles and EPs, gaining attention on the UK indie music scene. Their debut album, Dust Maps, was released in 2010 to generally positive reviews. The album showcased their blend of angular guitars, driving rhythms, and Brown's distinctive vocals.

Following the release of Dust Maps, Salvo toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe, building a dedicated fanbase. They released a second album, Kill Us All, in 2013, which saw them experimenting with a slightly darker and more textured sound.

Despite critical acclaim and a loyal following, Salvo disbanded in 2015. The members cited creative differences and the challenges of maintaining a band in the increasingly competitive music industry. Since the band's breakup, the members have pursued various musical projects, some working as session musicians and others exploring solo careers.
