SX (band)
SX is a Belgian indie pop band formed in Kortrijk, Belgium in 2009. The band's core members are Benjamin Desmet (guitar, keys) and Stefanie Callebaut (vocals, keys). They are known for their atmospheric soundscapes, Callebaut's distinctive vocals, and blending of electronic and organic elements.
SX gained significant recognition after winning Humo's Rock Rally, a prestigious Belgian music competition, in 2010. This victory significantly boosted their exposure and led to wider audiences for their music.
Their debut album, Arche, was released in 2012. Arche received critical acclaim and commercial success in Belgium, establishing SX as a prominent act in the Belgian music scene. The album featured singles such as "Black Video" and "Gold".
In 2016, SX released their second album, Alphabet. Alphabet saw the band further refine their sound, exploring themes of identity and communication. The album featured the single "Hurts".
SX has toured extensively throughout Europe, performing at various festivals and venues. They are recognized for their captivating live performances and unique visual aesthetic. While their international breakthrough outside of Europe has been limited, they maintain a dedicated fanbase within Belgium and other parts of Europe.
