Purdown
Purdown is a suburb and ward located in the north of Bristol, England. It is situated on the northern fringe of the city, bordering South Gloucestershire. Predominantly a residential area, Purdown is known for its prominent landmark, Purdown BT Tower (also known as the Bristol Tower), a telecommunications tower. The area is also characterized by open green spaces and views towards the Severn Estuary and Wales. Historically, the land was largely agricultural, but urban development occurred throughout the 20th century, transforming the area into a residential suburb.
