Parade (Parade album)

Parade is the eighth studio album by American musician Prince, and the third to feature his backing band The Revolution. Released on March 31, 1986, by Paisley Park Records and Warner Bros. Records, it served as the soundtrack to the film Under the Cherry Moon, in which Prince also starred and directed.

The album is characterized by its eclectic sound, blending funk, pop, rock, and orchestral elements. It departs from the more synth-heavy sound of Prince's earlier work, incorporating live instrumentation and a more European aesthetic, influenced by his time filming in France.

Parade spawned the hit single "Kiss," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Other notable tracks include "Girls & Boys," "Mountains," and "Anotherloverholenyohead."
