Nicole Johnson (Miss America)
Nicole Johnson (born Nicole Marie Johnson, January 19, 1974) is an American author, speaker, and health advocate. She is best known for being Miss America 1999.
Johnson, a Florida native, represented the state in the 1999 Miss America pageant. Her platform centered around raising awareness of diabetes, a condition she herself has lived with since childhood. During her reign as Miss America, she traveled extensively across the United States, speaking about diabetes prevention, management, and living a healthy lifestyle.
She graduated from the University of South Florida with a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research. This expertise has allowed her to contribute significantly to healthcare research and patient advocacy.
