Nick James (American football)
Nick James (born February 19, 1991) is a former American football defensive tackle. He played college football at Mississippi State University, and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
James attended Baker High School in Mobile, Alabama, where he was a highly-regarded defensive lineman. He was named to the Alabama Sports Writers Association's All-State team as a senior.
At Mississippi State, James was a four-year starter. He recorded 131 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks during his college career. He earned All-SEC honors in 2012.
The Pittsburgh Steelers selected James with the 248th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons with the Steelers, primarily as a backup. He then played for the Washington Redskins in 2015. After his time in the NFL, James played for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 2016.
