Nguyễn Văn Bình (politician)

Nguyễn Văn Bình is a Vietnamese politician. He has held several high-ranking positions within the government of Vietnam, primarily in the economic and financial sectors.

He served as the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) from 2011 to 2016. During his tenure, he was responsible for managing monetary policy, controlling inflation, and ensuring the stability of the banking system. He also played a key role in restructuring the banking sector and addressing non-performing loans.

Following his term as Governor of the SBV, Nguyễn Văn Bình was appointed as the Head of the Central Economic Commission (Ban Kinh tế Trung ương) of the Communist Party of Vietnam. In this role, he advised the Party and the government on economic policies and strategies.
