Mike Hurst (producer)

Mike Hurst is a British record producer, musician, and songwriter best known for his work with a variety of artists spanning several genres, primarily during the British Invasion era and beyond.

Hurst began his career as a member of the British vocal group The Springfields, alongside Dusty Springfield and her brother Tom Springfield. After The Springfields disbanded, Hurst transitioned into record production.

He has produced records for numerous notable artists, including Manfred Mann, The Spencer Davis Group, Cat Stevens, and Showaddywaddy. His production style often emphasized a clean, energetic sound, contributing to the commercial success of many of the records he worked on. He is particularly associated with the chart-topping hits of the 1960s and 1970s.
