Michael Cochrane (hurdler)

Michael Cochrane is a retired New Zealand track and field athlete who specialized in the 400 metres hurdles. He represented New Zealand at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, reaching the semi-finals of the 400m hurdles. He also competed at the 1982 and 1986 Commonwealth Games, winning a bronze medal in the 400m hurdles at the 1982 Brisbane Games. Cochrane was a consistent performer on the international stage throughout the 1980s and is regarded as one of New Zealand's leading 400m hurdlers.
