Mark Ferguson (news presenter)
Mark Ferguson is a New Zealand television news presenter. He is best known for his long tenure as a news anchor for TVNZ (Television New Zealand).
Ferguson began his broadcasting career in radio before transitioning to television. He joined TVNZ in 1989 and became a prominent figure on their flagship news programs. He co-anchored One News for many years, often alongside Judy Bailey and, later, Wendy Petrie. He was known for his calm and authoritative delivery.
Over his career, Ferguson covered numerous significant national and international events, including elections, natural disasters, and major news stories. He became a trusted and recognizable face in New Zealand news broadcasting. He stepped down from his regular newsreading role at TVNZ in 2023.
