Makanek

Makanek is a type of small Lebanese sausage, typically made from ground beef or lamb, seasoned with a blend of spices, notably including allspice. It is characterized by its small, finger-like size and often cooked by pan-frying, grilling, or baking. Makanek is a popular mezze dish served throughout Lebanon and the wider Middle East, frequently accompanied by lemon wedges or pomegranate molasses for added flavor. The sausages are typically made without a casing. The name "makanek" is derived from the Arabic word for "sausage."
