Leo (singer)

Leo (born Jung Taek-woon on November 10, 1990) is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and musical theatre actor. He is best known as a member of the South Korean boy group VIXX and its subunit VIXX LR.

As a member of VIXX, Leo debuted in 2012 after participating in the Mnet reality survival show MyDOL. He is one of the main vocalists of the group, recognized for his powerful and emotive singing style. He has also contributed to the group's songwriting and composition over the years.

In 2015, Leo formed the subunit VIXX LR with fellow VIXX member Ravi. VIXX LR focuses on a different musical style compared to VIXX, often incorporating more electronic and experimental elements. Leo has played a significant role in the production of VIXX LR's music.

Beyond his group activities, Leo has also pursued a career in musical theatre. He has starred in several productions, showcasing his vocal and acting talents. Notable roles include productions of Full House, Mata Hari, Monte Cristo, The Last Kiss, Elisabeth, and Frankenstein.

Leo debuted as a solo artist in 2018 with the release of his first mini-album, Canvas. He has since released additional solo music, further demonstrating his artistic versatility and songwriting skills. His solo work typically explores themes of love, longing, and self-discovery, often presented with a sophisticated and emotional approach.
