Keith Barr (Gaelic footballer)
Keith Barr is an Irish Gaelic footballer who played for the St Vincent's club and formerly for the Dublin county team. Primarily a defender, he was known for his tenacious tackling, strong work rate, and leadership qualities on the field.
Barr enjoyed considerable success at club level with St Vincent's, winning multiple Dublin Senior Football Championships. He also achieved Leinster Senior Club Football Championship success with the club.
At inter-county level, Keith Barr was a significant figure in the Dublin team for a number of years. He won an All-Ireland Senior Football Championship medal in 1995, playing a key role in the Dublin defence. He also won Leinster Senior Football Championship medals and National Football League titles with Dublin.
While a highly respected player, his career was sometimes marked by disciplinary issues, leading to suspensions. After retiring from inter-county football, Barr remained involved in the sport, often featuring as a pundit and commentator.
