Illmensee (lake)

Illmensee is a lake located in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated near the town of Illmensee, which takes its name from the lake. The lake is part of the Linzgau region, known for its rolling hills and agricultural landscapes.

Illmensee covers an area of approximately 75 hectares (190 acres) and has a maximum depth of around 10 meters (33 feet). It is fed by several small streams and drains into the Andelsbach, which eventually flows into Lake Constance (Bodensee).

The lake is a popular destination for recreation, including swimming, boating, fishing, and hiking. The surrounding area offers several hiking trails and cycling routes. There are also bathing facilities and restaurants located around the lake.
