KFYR-TV

KFYR-TV is a NBC-affiliated television station licensed to Bismarck, North Dakota, United States, serving the Bismarck–Mandan area. It broadcasts a high-definition digital signal on VHF channel 5 (or virtual channel 5.1 via PSIP) from a transmitter near St. Anthony.

Owned by Gray Television, KFYR-TV is the flagship station of the NBC North Dakota network, a statewide network of NBC affiliates that also includes KMOT in Minot, KQCD-TV in Dickinson, and KUMV-TV in Williston. These stations share resources and broadcast the same programming, with some local news and advertising inserted by each station.

KFYR-TV began broadcasting on December 19, 1953, and was initially owned by the Meyer Broadcasting Company, alongside KFYR radio. The call letters reflect this original ownership and are derived from the first name of the radio station's founder, F. Y. Ronning. The station has a long history of local news coverage and community involvement in central and western North Dakota. It has undergone several ownership changes throughout its history, eventually becoming part of Gray Television.

The station's programming consists primarily of NBC network programs, syndicated shows, and locally produced news and public affairs programming. Its news department produces local newscasts covering the Bismarck-Mandan area and statewide issues.
