John Carlson (American football)
John Carlson (born February 22, 1984) is a former American football tight end. He played college football at Notre Dame and was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft.
Early Life and College Career
Carlson attended Litchfield Senior High School in Litchfield, Minnesota. He played college football for the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish. During his time at Notre Dame, he was a consistent contributor, demonstrating strong receiving and blocking skills.
Professional Career

Seattle Seahawks (2008-2011): Carlson was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks with the 38th overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft. He quickly became a reliable target for quarterbacks Matt Hasselbeck and later Tarvaris Jackson. He was known for his sure hands and ability to make tough catches in traffic. His best season with the Seahawks was in 2010, when he recorded 55 receptions for 627 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Minnesota Vikings (2012): In 2012, Carlson signed with his home-state team, the Minnesota Vikings. However, his time with the Vikings was cut short due to a knee injury he suffered during training camp.
