John Alford (died 1691)

John Alford (died 1691) was an English Member of Parliament for Arundel.

Alford was the son of Sir Edward Alford of Offington, Sussex, and his wife Audrey, daughter of Sir Edward Denney of Bishop's Stortford. He inherited the Offington estate in 1653.

He served as a Member of Parliament for Arundel in the Convention Parliament of 1660, and again in the Cavalier Parliament from 1661 until his death in 1691. During his time in Parliament, he was not particularly active, but he generally supported the Court party.

He married Mary, the daughter of Sir Thomas Culpeper of Hollingbourne, Kent. They had no children, and his estate passed to his nephew. He was buried at Broadwater, Sussex.
