Javornice

Javornice is a village and municipality in the Rychnov nad Kněžnou District, in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It is located approximately 13 kilometers (8 mi) northwest of Rychnov nad Kněžnou, and 30 kilometers (19 mi) east of Hradec Králové. The municipality covers an area of 12.65 square kilometers (4.88 sq mi), and has a population of approximately 1,000 (as of 2023).

Historically, the area belonged to the Kingdom of Bohemia and later Czechoslovakia and now the Czech Republic. The village likely has agricultural roots, with the surrounding landscape primarily consisting of fields and woodland. Local amenities include a post office, a kindergarten, and a fire station. The village offers access to the surrounding natural environment, which is popular for hiking and cycling.
