Hawkedon
Hawkedon is a village and civil parish in the West Suffolk district of Suffolk, England. Located approximately 7 miles (11 km) southwest of Bury St Edmunds, it falls within the electoral ward of Chedburgh and Thingoe North.
The Domesday Book records Hawkedon as "Haukeduna". Historically, the village has been primarily an agricultural community.
The parish church of Hawkedon is dedicated to Saint Mary. The church is a Grade II* listed building and features elements dating back to the 14th century.
Population figures for Hawkedon are relatively small. According to the 2011 census, the population of the civil parish was 142.
