Harold Jenkins (Shakespeare scholar)

Harold Jenkins (1909 – 2000) was a prominent British Shakespeare scholar, best known for his meticulously edited and highly regarded Arden edition of Hamlet, published in 1982.

Jenkins dedicated his career to the study and teaching of Shakespeare. He held academic positions at University College London, where he served as a Professor of English Literature.
