George Waring (footballer)
George Waring (born 7 April 1995) is an English professional footballer who most recently played as a forward for Chester.
Career
Waring began his career with Everton, progressing through their academy system. During his time with Everton, he had loan spells at Barnsley, Tranmere Rovers, Oxford United, and Carlisle United. He failed to make a first-team appearance for Everton.
In July 2016, Waring signed for Shrewsbury Town. He made a limited number of appearances for Shrewsbury before being loaned to Tranmere Rovers for a second time in January 2017.
Following his release from Shrewsbury Town, Waring joined Grimsby Town in August 2017. He also had a loan spell at Salford City whilst contracted to Grimsby.
Waring signed for Chester in November 2019. He was released by Chester at the end of the 2020-21 season.
Playing Style
Waring is a tall, physical centre-forward known for his aerial ability and hold-up play.
