Froland (village)

Froland is a village in the municipality of Froland in Agder county, Norway. It serves as the administrative center of the municipality. The village is situated along the river Nidelva, approximately 20 kilometers north of the town of Arendal. European route E18 passes just south of the village.

Historically, Froland was the location of the Frolands verk, an iron works established in the 17th century. While the iron works no longer operates, its legacy is visible in some of the older buildings and the historical context of the village.
