Edenfest
Edenfest was a multi-day outdoor music festival held in Eden, Ontario, Canada in the summers of 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999. The festival was known for showcasing a mix of established and emerging Canadian rock, alternative, and indie bands, alongside international headliners. It attracted a large audience, primarily from Southwestern Ontario and the surrounding areas.
Edenfest was notable for its rural location and camping facilities, contributing to a strong sense of community among attendees. In addition to music, the festival often included art installations, vendors selling crafts and food, and other forms of entertainment.
The festival ceased operations after the 1999 event. Reasons cited for its discontinuation typically include logistical challenges related to its remote location, financial difficulties, and increased competition from other summer music festivals. Despite its relatively short run, Edenfest remains a fondly remembered event in Canadian music festival history for many who attended.
