Dark Blue (TV series)

Dark Blue is an American crime drama television series that aired on TNT from July 15, 2009, to September 15, 2010. The series follows a group of undercover police officers in Los Angeles, California, who are tasked with infiltrating criminal organizations. The team is led by Lieutenant Carter Shaw, a highly experienced and dedicated officer who is known for his unorthodox methods and willingness to cross the line to catch criminals.

The team members each possess unique skills and backgrounds that allow them to effectively blend into different criminal subcultures. They face constant danger and moral dilemmas as they navigate the complexities of their assignments, often blurring the lines between right and wrong in their pursuit of justice.

The series explored themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and the psychological toll of living a double life. While undercover, the officers are forced to create believable backstories, maintain their cover identities, and manage relationships with both criminals and their loved ones. Dark Blue was created by Danny Cannon and Jonathan Littman, with Cannon also directing the pilot episode. The series starred Dylan McDermott as Lieutenant Carter Shaw, Logan Marshall-Green as Dean Bendis, Nicki Aycox as Jaimie Allen, and Omari Hardwick as Ty Curtis. The show was canceled after two seasons.
