Christian Campbell (poet)
Christian Campbell is a Bahamian poet, essayist, and cultural critic known for his work exploring themes of diaspora, sexuality, and the intersection of Caribbean and African American identities. He is the author of Running the Dusk (Peepal Tree Press, 2010), which won the 2010 Forward Poetry Prize for Best First Collection in the UK, and was a finalist for the Cave Canem Prize in the U.S.
Campbell's poetry is characterized by its lyrical language, vivid imagery, and exploration of complex social and personal issues. He often employs Caribbean vernacular and incorporates elements of orality and performance into his written work.
