Blackbird (2018 film)

Blackbird is a 2018 drama film directed by Roger Michell. It is a remake of the 2014 Danish film Silent Heart, directed by Bille August. The film stars Susan Sarandon, Kate Winslet, Mia Wasikowska, Sam Neill, and Rainn Wilson.

The plot revolves around a terminally ill woman, Lily (Sarandon), who has decided to end her life with assisted suicide. She gathers her family and close friends for one final weekend together. Over the course of the weekend, long-held resentments and unresolved issues surface as the family grapples with Lily's decision and the impending loss.
