USS Mockingbird (AMS-27)
USS Mockingbird (AMS-27), originally designated YMS-332, was an YMS-1-class auxiliary motor minesweeper of the United States Navy. She was laid down on 21 April 1943 by the Colberg Boat Works in Stockton, California; launched on 24 July 1943; and commissioned on 15 November 1943.
During World War II, Mockingbird served in the Pacific theater, participating in mine sweeping operations and other support activities. Following the war, she was redesignated AMS-27 on 1 September 1947. She continued to serve in the U.S. Navy, primarily engaged in training and coastal mine sweeping duties, until she was struck from the Naval Vessel Register on 1 July 1954. Her final disposition is unknown.
