Arthur Birch (cricketer)
Arthur Birch was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Derbyshire between 1902 and 1905.
Birch was born in Alfreton, Derbyshire. He made his debut for Derbyshire in the 1902 season against Lancashire, taking a wicket in his first innings. He played 11 matches in the 1902 season, and took a total of 18 wickets with a best of 4 for 50 against Essex. In the 1903 season, he played 13 matches and took 18 wickets with a best of 3 for 23. He played six matches in the 1904 season, taking 7 wickets and played his final match in the 1905 season.
Birch was a right-arm medium-fast bowler and took 44 first-class wickets at an average of 25.18 and a best performance of 4 for 50. He was a right-handed batsman and played 31 innings in 31 first-class matches with a top score of 20 and an average of 6.53.
