Ana Moura
Ana Moura (born Ana Cláudia Moura Pereira on September 17, 1979) is a Portuguese fado singer. She is one of the most internationally recognized voices in contemporary fado, and one of the best-selling Portuguese artists of the 21st century.
Moura's career began in the early 2000s, and she quickly rose to prominence for her unique voice and modern interpretations of traditional fado. She is known for incorporating influences from other musical genres, such as pop and jazz, into her fado performances, creating a distinctive sound that has broadened the appeal of fado music to new audiences.
Throughout her career, Moura has released several successful albums, including "Guarda-me a Vida na Mão" (2003), "Para Além da Saudade" (2007), "Leva-me Aos Fados" (2009), "Desfado" (2012), and "Moura" (2015). "Desfado" was particularly successful, reaching platinum status in Portugal and gaining international recognition. Her most recent album, "Casa Guilhermina," was released in 2022.
