Ainu flag

The Ainu flag is a symbol representing the Ainu people, an indigenous group of Japan and Russia. It was designed in 1973 by Bikki Sunazawa, a prominent Ainu artist, and later formally adopted by the Ainu Association of Hokkaido in 1974.

The flag’s design features a blue background, representing the sky, the sea, and the rich natural environment of Ainu territory.
