Ada Kok

Ada Kok (born August 6, 1947) is a retired Dutch swimmer. She is best known for winning a gold medal in the 200-meter butterfly at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City.

Prior to her Olympic victory, Kok achieved significant success in international swimming competitions. She won multiple medals at the European Championships, including gold in the 100-meter butterfly in 1962 and 1966, and in the 4×100-meter medley relay in 1966. She also set several world records during her career, primarily in the butterfly stroke.

Kok's Olympic gold medal was a significant achievement for the Netherlands, and solidified her place as one of the country's most successful swimmers. Following her retirement from competitive swimming, she remained involved in the sport and became a coach. She is considered a prominent figure in Dutch swimming history.
